I DID IT!

     It’s month seven of 2017, so much has happened this year.  The close of 2016 had taken a toll on me.  Somehow I’ve been navigating my way through it.

     Recently, I completed one of the hardest plays I have ever worked on.  It stretched me as an Artist and as a human being.  Each day of the rehearsal process was a challenge.  Each day I had some breakthroughs, some failures and each day I decided not to give up.  I dug deep in myself.  I asked for help.  I kept reading and rereading the play.  Most importantly, I maintained confidence in myself.  I was hired for this job, so I knew I could do it.

     It is difficult facing new and unexpected challenges.  Especially when you thought you had it all figured out, but going into the unknown makes life exciting.  Sometimes we like to fool ourselves and think we want it easy, but we don’t.  We want to come out on the other side shouting at the top of our lungs.  I DID IT!
